Custom handmade hanging compartment box and custom handmade secret compartment books made as gifts for Noisemaker for their postponed HUE tour next year. Their tour was scheduled this year in October and I was supposed to fly to Japan to attend, but unfortunately, COVID happened and they were forced to postpone. They have rescheduled for March-April of next year. Something to look forward to after we all tough through this year. Better days are coming!
The hanging compartment box is inspired by their album art concept using CMYK colors with RGB filters. It’s a really clever and creative art concept, I’m wildly impressed though not surprised. I wanted to give them US quarters carved into guitar picks with their birth year stamped (made by another artist) as cool souvenirs to pair with my US dollar eagle origami I had gifted them earlier this year. Since the US quarter has a stamped eagle on the back, makes it perfect for their eagle mascot theme. I had bought a small, clear plastic case to put the picks in, but found it too be too plain and boring. Not my style. So I decided to make mini secret compartment books to hold the pick and case inside. I love the element of surprise when opening a misleading gift, hence love making pop up cards. I hope they will find it a pleasant surprise! The books will go inside each bandmember’s compartment in the box with just enough room for some small sweets and treats from US.

**Update 07/25/22: Decided to not give the suitcase box and just the books. I have so many backlogged gifts to give to them that it’s just too much. Japan just barely opened borders for restricted tourism in June 2022. Until they will resume normal tourism, I won’t be visiting Japan for awhile, which means I won’t be able to give them their gifts.
